Rooms
Green Room
Decorated in natural rattan queen size bed and glass vanity, this
room offers an eclectic charm with its woven covered duvet and
throw cushions. The window seat running the full length of the
room affords a dramatic view of the dam and the rolling hills surrounding
Clyde Hall. Guests say they can lie in bed and see the stars.
Red Room
The walls painted in a colour typically done
in the Caribbean great houses features a sleigh
bed circa 1930’s, matching highboy
and blanket box with red pine flooring. This room enjoys the morning
sun.
Yellow Room
Inspiration for this room came from the mid-west with its aubergine
striped coverlet and contrasting yellows. This room overlooks the
terrace and soon to be pool with gardens. A perfect setting to
relax with a good book while enjoying the afternoon sun.
Third
Floor Bathroom
Relax in the whirlpool bath, our guests tell us this bathroom is like a spa with
its porcelain tile. Other guests comment on the luxurious atmosphere. This bathroom
is shared by the Green, Red and Yellow Rooms.
Third
Floor Loft
My favourite place to sit and read with a cup of tea, to watch the rain fall
or sunlight glistening on the 60 ft tall maples or watch guests arrive along
the meandering driveway. Enjoy the view and the books on the third floor loft.
Common
Areas
Drawing Room
The drawing room is furnished with antiques,
including a baby grand piano and a fireplace.
Guests are welcome to put their feet up
and visit with friends, family or other guests.
Solarium
This room provides a panoramic view of the rolling
hills, golf course and entrance to Clyde Hall
and enjoys sun all day. With
its heated floors, it is a room to be enjoyed either in the quiet
morning sunlight or moonlit eve. It provides a welcoming place
to relax, no matter what the weather. This popular room exits
on the wrap-around deck and has cable TV/VCR
and a selection of books.
Dining Room
A full breakfast is the standard offering consisting
of fresh fruit, baked goods and a main entrée of bacon & eggs or waffles
or pancakes or quiche. Special dietary requirements are always
accommodated. Breakfast may be enjoyed in the dining room or in
guest’s rooms. In the summer you have the option to have
breakfast on the deck. One of the features of staying at a B&B
is meeting new people around the breakfast table. Clyde Hall’s
formal dining room features an antique dining room table, buffet
and sideboard with Tiffany style lighting.
Great Room
A wood burning fireplace in the great room welcomes
guests home after a wonderful day of visiting
family, local artisans, X-country
skiing, shopping, wedding event or a business meeting. Despite
the scale of the rooms and elegance of the interior design, there
is nothing imposing or pretentious, it is welcoming and supremely
comfortable – the sort of house in which one feels immediately
at home. Furnishings assume a casual look, but the design scheme
is every bit as detailed as other rooms and the parquet floor inlaid
with porcelain tile is particularly notable. The fireside stool
is the only piece of furniture from Clyde Hall remaining, given
to the owner’s parents.
Inground Pool and Hot Tub with lounge area and change rooms with complimentary towel service.
